Israeli National SIGINT Unit (Unit 8200)

Description

The Israeli equivalent of the NSA, Unit 8200 is a highly secretive SIGINT unit of the Israeli military. A world leader in cyber-warfare, it is rumored to have created the Stuxnet computer worm that targeted the Iranian nuclear program in 2010.

PRIMAL Assessment

8200 and the NSA regularly collaborate on targets of mutual interest, such as Iran, Syria, or Islamic terrorist groups. Given Israel’s very strong IT education and business sector, 8200 would have some of the most capable SIGINT and Cyber-warfare specialists in the world. 8200 and its HUMINT/covert action counterpart, Mossad, would be formidable enemies should PRIMAL appear in their target deck.
