HK45CT (MK24)

Description

A development of Heckler and Koch’s popular USP, with input from former-Delta operator Larry Vickers, the HK45 has a compact frame and threaded barrel (for use with a suppressor). It is in service with a number of Special Operations units including DEVGRU.

PRIMAL Assessment

Designated within the Naval Special Warfare community as the MK24, it is a much more manageable size than the MK23 it replaced. The heavy .45ACP bullet is effective at subsonic velocities making it the ideal caliber for use in this specialized pistol. It is an excellent weapon to take down sentries, dogs, or assassinate high value targets at close range. One disadvantage for some users is the heavy double action trigger, however this can be somewhat mitigated by installing the ‘LEM’ (Law Enforcement Modification) trigger upgrade.
