RT-20 Anti-Materiel Rifle

Description

The RT-20 is technically classified as a cannon, firing a four-inch long 20mm round. What differs it from other anti-materiel rifles is its recoilless design, which makes it easier to fire accurately. At over 40lbs and only firing a single shot before reloading, this rifle has very limited application. It has generally been superseded by smaller precision rifles or more potent guided projectiles.

PRIMAL Assessment

The RT-20’s recoilless design can generate considerable blowback, restricting use in a confined space. Additionally its size could give away the position of the firer. Despite these limitations, and the heavy weight, the RT-20 enables targets to be precisely engaged through armor with less collateral damage than most other man-portable anti-armor systems.
