Description
The 300BLK is a special purpose round designed to give more lethality to 5.56mm AR platforms when firing subsonic suppressed ammunition. It is basically a Russian 7.62mm bullet in a 5.56mm NATO sized cartridge. It can be used with standard AR magazines but requires an upper-receiver change to work with a 5.56mm AR-style weapon. A supersonic version is available when the need for long range engagement overrides stealth.

PRIMAL Assessment
Made popular by the now defunct AAC ‘Honey Badger’ PDW and now effectively used in the SIG MPX. 300BLK has been tested by a number of ‘Tier 1’ SOF units but its official use is not confirmed. A versatile round; a magazine swap can change a 300BLK weapon’s capability from a quiet short-range subsonic weapon into a long range high-velocity weapon. PRIMAL’s 300BLK chambered Tavors are not officially available and would be a custom modification.
