ZASTAVA M76

Description:

A semi-automatic sniper rifle manufactured by Zastava Arms, a Serbian weapons company. It chambers the 7.92x57mm Mauser cartridge and has an effective range beyond 800m. Although similar in concept to the Soviet Dragunov, it is closer in design to the AK assault rifle.

PRIMAL Assessment:

A popular precision weapon during the Yugoslav wars and highly effective in the designated marksman role. However, for long range shooting the M76 is limited by the standard 4x magnification optics. Could be significantly improved by the addition of a picatinny rail and suppressor.
