The MH-47 is the Special Operations variant of the Chinook medium-lift helicopter. It has numerous upgrades including in-flight refueling and terrain-following radar.

The MH-47 will commonly be found with a 7.62mm minigun mounted on the side. In high-threat environments they will usually fly at night and MH-47 pilots are some of most experienced NVGs flyers in the world.
