MP5K-PDW

Description:

The MP5K-PDW is a short-barreled MP5K fitted with a folding stock and a threaded barrel. It was issued to some US SOCOM units in the 1990s but has now been superseded by more modern weapons such as the MP7. Like the full-size MP5 it fires from a closed-bolt giving it superior first round accuracy.

PRIMAL Assessment:

The MP5K, when fired in bursts, is prone to inaccuracy. Adding the folding stock on the PDW variant greatly improves its capability. Is compact enough to slip into a laptop bag, satchel or a woman’s handbag, making it suitable for covert ops. However, the more modern MP7 or B&T MP9 are recommended if a concealable submachine gun is required.
