Description
The Special Frontier Force (SFF) is a paramilitary unit of the Indian Army originally established to conduct covert operations in China. Under operational command of India’s external intelligence service, RAW, the SFF has been used in a number of different covert and conventional operational theatres. Special Group is an elite unit within SFF initially trained by the premier Israeli special operations unit, Sayeret Matkal. Special Group has evolved into a unit more focused on foreign covert operations rather than hostage-rescue and direct action.

PRIMAL Assessment
Special Group operations remain highly-classified. However, it is likely that they have been involved in numerous RAW operations including snatch operations throughout South Asia and OPERATION LEECH, an assassination mission against Burmese rebel leaders.
