Barrett M82

Description:

The Barrett M82 is a combat-proven heavy-caliber sniper rifle firing the .50BMG cartridge. In 2012 Australian Commandos used two M82s firing simultaneously to kill a Taliban fighter at a record distance of 2815 metres.

PRIMAL Assessment:

A great weapon for destroying vehicles or equipment at long ranges. The semi-auto capability and 10 round magazine allows for an impressive weight of heavy-hitting firepower. For more precise anti-personnel roles there are more suitable weapons such as Barrett's own .416cal M82s.
