Pulsar Emitter

Description

The pulsar emitter is a non-lethal weapon able to incapacitate humans and animals at a range of up to fifty meters. It fires a blast of static energy powerful enough to knock a person unconscious. Relatively stealthy, it is quieter than regular firearms and railers. Whilst it can disable some electronic devices, it should not be relied upon against exoskeletons, mechops and other modern military equipment.

PRIMAL Assessment

The emitter is an excellent, stealthy, non-lethal weapon against targets such as sentries and dogs. It can, however, severely injure or kill if the target impacts a hard surface after being immobilized. A key limitation is that it requires a significant energy source; usually they are mounted on an exoskeleton and draw power from the suit’s ultracapacitors.
