AT4

Description

Not to be confused with the Soviet-era wire-guided AT-4 missile system, the AT4 is a single-shot disposable anti-armor rocket launcher used by US armed forces. In recent wars it has been used more as a bunker-buster than an anti-armor weapon. The variant with the bunker-busting thermobaric warhead is known as the SMAW-D.

PRIMAL Assessment

For an anti-armor weapon, the AT4 is rapidly being made obsolete by modern armor, and light-weight guided missiles capable of top-attack profiles. PRIMAL operatives prefer a modernized RPG-7 over an AT4 as it can be reloaded with a variety of munitions.
